President, Renewable Energy Expert
Troy’s diverse background includes 9 years in the U.S Navy Seals as a Special Forces medic, and personal security details in hostile environments, such as the Middle East and Africa. After years of heart-pumping, high-profile work, Troy’s path of action lead him to explore alternatives to creating global security. Troy’s inquiries into the depths of our pressing socioeconomic and environmental challenges brought him to Maharishi University of Management, where he earned a degree in Sustainability.
Troy has followed his passion for creating self-sufficiency through community involvement. After a year of serving as a member of the Go Green Commission for Fairfield, Iowa, where he participated in creating a comprehensive sustainability plan for the City, Troy founded Ideal Energy, Inc to begin helping the city to fulfill the steps outline in the plan. Although Ideal Energy’s clientele has broaden to a national level, Troy remains dedicated to implementing renewable energy solutions in his hometown of Fairfield, Iowa.
For the past ten years, Amy has worked on a diverse scale of design projects, ranging from illustration to sustainable design in the built environment. Amy is proficient in sustainable architectural design, the visual arts, branding, and spent several years studying the fine art of Vastu building design first hand with the renowned spiritual teacher, Maharishi Mahesh Yogi.
Amy’s philosophy centers around engaging the senses AND the environment in her designs, creating aesthetically appealing structures which work with nature, rather than against it. She is the owner of the design/build firm Greenfield Properties, which emphasizes natural and non-toxic building materials, high performance design, and renewable energy systems. Amy carries a BFA in Painting, and most recently completed Passive House training at Parson’s School of Constructed Environments in New York City.
Robert revels in creating balance between organizational development and sustainable advancement. Robert’s desire to deepen his education led him to Maharishi University of Management where he earned a MBA in Sustainability. After completing his degree, Robert continued working with the University as Sustainable Living Program Developer for three years, during which he assisted in managing the growth of the thriving sustainability program.
Robbie is passonate about refining his understanding of collective growth and leadership through studying emerging models of sustainability and social transformation. He takes a strategic approach to new projects, solving problems before they have a chance to arise. Robbie believes that the world can benefit through combination of social responsibility, and renewable energy design, through the combined use of technology and media.
